Roswell Girls Lacrosse is lead by an incredible group of individuals who are all experienced in playing and coaching all levels of the game, from U9 to NCAA Division 1.
In Community Head Coach, Brooke Magnuson's 7 seasons with Roswell, she and her highly esteemed coaching staff have acheived a 2023 Runner Up State Championship, 2025 Region Champsionship (1st time in PROGRAM HISTORY), 1 Valedictorian, 1 Salutatorian, 8 All Americans, 7 Academic All Americans, 1 Georgia Player of the Year, 1 Georgia Goalie of the Year, 2 Positive Athlete Award Winners, 1 DiVarsity Player of the Year, 20 DiVarsity All Stars, 1 DiVarsity All Star MVP, 31 All State Players, 13 All Area Players, 6 US National Team players, 11 New Balance All Americans, and we are proud to share that in these 6 years 29 of our student athletes have committed to play lacrosse collegiately at all
NCAA levels, D1, D2, D3 and NAIA.

Brooke
Magnuson
Coach Brooke grew up in Annapolis, MD and was considered one of the top lacrosse recruits in the country her Junior and Senior years of HS (multi-sport athlete). She earned Player of the Year in Maryland, 2002 and also competed on her Varsity basketball team and was a ranked tennis player and swimmer all throughout HS in Annapolis, MD. She accepted a full athletic scholarship (then only awarded to one player per class) to play for the then 7x National Champs (now 14!), The University of Maryland. She was coached by and learned from some of the best in the country, Cindy Timchal (current Navy Head Coach and most winning coach in NCAA D1), Jen Adams (Loyola Head Coach), Cathy Reese (Current UMD Head Coach) and was Gary Gait’s (Syracuse Mens Head Coach) last recruit before he left UMD. Cindy and Gary came to visit Coach Brooke’s house in Sherwood Forest to offer her her scholarship her Junior summer!
Coach Brooke helped build the Division 1 ASUN powerhouse at Jacksonville University from the ground up as the first assistant coach for the program. She was their offensive coordinator and recruiting director during her time at JU working under Mindy McCord (USF Head Coach). And she was also the director of camps and clinics, MCC Sports.

- Coached and directed many HS elite clubs in the past 20 years from Maryland to Florida, HS teams and started new programs wherever they moved if there wasn’t lacrosse yet (moved 9 times while they were in the Navy!)

Coach Megan is an alumni of the Roswell Girls Lacrosse program playing on the Varsity team from 2012-2015. She was a 2x Academic All American, All American Honorable Mention, Second Team All State and State Runner Up in 2012. She was recruited to play for the D3 Powerhouse, Tufts University and played in the NCAA Final Four in 2019.
Coach Megan has been coaching since 2015, beginning her career with Eaglestix. She is currently coaching with Southern Zone and is a Roswell Youth Lacrosse and Junior Hornets Coach as well.
Coach Mary grew up in Penfield, NY and played lacrosse, basketball and soccer all 4 years of HS and earned Academic All American in Lacrosse.
She attended St. John Fisher College (Rochester, NY) and played for their D3 lacrosse team. She was awarded multiple honors from the College, conference, and NCAA for the combination of academic achievement, leadership, and athletic excellence. She also was awarded All-Conference honors throughout 4 years of play and was a First Team All-Region honoree.
After college, she coached a variety of age levels ranging from elementary school to JV teams, focusing on the development of individuals athletic, teamwork, and leadership skillsets. She then went on to coach for the Aces Lacrosse Club in Rochester, NY.
Coach Mary was hired as an Assistant Coach to coach at her alma mater, St. John Fisher College in 2019 (a top 25 ranked NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Program) and helped the team acheive program history by making their NCAA DIII Final Four debut in the 2021 season.
Coach Mary is married to husband Carter, who is a coach for the Milton Mens Lacrosse Team.

Coach Megan grew up in Pittsburgh, PA and moved to Georgia in High School. She learned the game of lacrosse during summers spent in Upstate NY (Geneva and Rochester). Coach Megan competed in equestrian, volleyball and cross country growing up.
Coach Megan worked with Peachtree Ridge High School to help create the first girls lacrosse team when she was in High School. She is experienced in building successful programs.
Coach Megan earned her Undergrad degree at the University of Georgia and attended Graduate School at Georgia State University.
Coach Megan currently works in Fulton County Schools. She has coached with Roswell Youth Lacrosse for 5 years and prior to coaching at Roswell High School, Coach Megan coached at the U9, U11, U13 and Junior Select level.
Coach Megan was the Senior Select head coach for the 2022 spring season and lead the team to a winning record.

Junior Varsity Coach

Coach Hannah was a scholarship athlete at Ohio State University, where she played defense for the Buckeyes lacrosse team. In her senior year, she started all games and received recognition on and off the field, including Academic All-Big Ten, OSU Scholar-Athlete, 2019 Big Ten Sportsmanship Award Honoree, and the Woody and Anne Hayes Award. She earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Ohio State.
Coach Hannah was a two-year varsity starter at Lamar High School (Houston, TX), a 2015 US Lacrosse All-American, team captain in 2015, led the team in scoring during her senior year, and was a first-team all-state selection in 2015. She helped her team to a city championship and state runner-up finish. Coach Hannah also played for the Texas Rangers club team for three years and lettered in track and field and cross country.
Coach Hannah grew up in Houston, Texas, where she was a multi-sport athlete and discovered her passion for lacrosse in the 6th grade. In high school, she honed her skills in lacrosse while also competing in track and cross country.
After college at Ohio State, Hannah and her husband relocated to Roswell, Georgia, in February 2024. She is passionate about helping young athletes grow both on and off the field, focusing on teamwork, discipline, and leadership!
