Roswell Girls Lacrosse displayed an incredible amount of resilience, unity and strength during the difficult days when the world shut down because of Covid-19. Our girls Varsity team was in the middle of an away game at North Atlanta High School when Coach Brooke was tapped on the shoulder by their Booster Club President. He explained that he had just gotten a notification that the season was cancelled from that point on, that we were to end the game and that this was the last time our team and Seniors would play that 2020 season. We notified the referees and the other team and decided together that we wanted to give the girls the gift of being able to finish the game. At halftime we delivered the news to our team and as you can imagine, it was a very sad sight. However, the girls were strong and played TOGETHER, and finished their final game together as a team. It was one of the most incredible bus rides home together as we drove home back towards Roswell High School.
From that point on, we grew even closer as we continued our "season" through zoom calls, zoom get-togethers, zoom workouts, zoom stick tricks and virtual passing and most importantly, we still celebrated our incredible Senior class. Coaches masked up, gloved up and stayed 6ft apart and drove to each Seniors house to decorate their front doors. Then our entire program, parents and players got in their cars and paraded around town on a drive-by Senior recognition mission! We decorated our cars, honked our horns and screamed as loud as we could to cheer on our amazing 2020 seniors! It was so special to be a part of that day and truly demonstrated the heart of this program. We are strong. We are resilient. We are FAMILY. And we are proud. #weR ONE ROSWELL!

Our Come Back Story
The next school year we came back stronger than ever, ready to take on the field! Every athlete knew what it felt like to have their season ripped away from them and they were hungry to dominate every game from that point on!
